November 2011. The children were involved in a very touching memorial service. Father Brian and Kay Harvey very skillfully presented the opportunity for our children to investigate the war memorial at Erpingham Church and then create a model memorial of their own. Back in school the children and staff shared stories, painted poppies and followed assemblies with a Rememberance theme. A very valuable learning experience for all on a very memorable 11.11.11

Harvest celebration 2011 and collecting for the Benjamin Foundation.
On a beautiful early Autumn day in September children, parents and friends of the school held a harvest celebration service at Erpingham church. Father Brian and Kay Harvey arranged some very enjoyable making and doing activities which we call 'messy church'.
The activities enabled the children to be involved in bringing in food donations which were latergiven to teenaged youngsters who  really need some help and support with their lives. All the food that was donated was packed carefully by the children back at school and taken by Kay to the Benjamin Foundation Centre in North Walsham.

Easter 2011 pilgrimage.
Children, staff and friends visited Calthorpe, Erpingham and Ingworth Churches where we took part in activities which focussed on making the Easter Story 'real and relevant' for everyone. We completed our journey back at the school where we shared a sumptuous lunch. Many thanks go to the wonderful team behind all the arrangements.

A 'Messy Church' session involving children and parents.
Children and parents enoying one of our regular 'Messy Church' sessions.
Erpingham Church of England Primary School aims to provide a sound education, based on Christian principles and values. We cater for all primary aged children of all denominations and ethnic backgrounds within a happy and exceptionally caring environment. We also provide a free once a week 'Stay and Play' session for pre-school children and their parents / carers. Our school ethos and approach reflects the high importance that we place on positive attitutudes and contribution from all. We believe that the Christian values of fairness, honesty, justice and respect form a strong basis from which young lives develop into well rounded and giving members of society. Our active links to our local Church and Benefice are a vital part of our school. For example we hold regular monthly assemblies at Erpingham Church. Often these assemblies are active hands on sessions called 'Messy Church. We always invite parents, carers, friends and members of the local community to attend. From the moment that children join Erpingham C of E Primary School they become part of a very inclusive and family orientated group. We seek to widen horizons, taking children on their first steps towards 'life long learning' and a sense of personal fulfillment.
