Wells Residential Trip
In March 2010, all the children from Artic Class took part in their yearly residential trip.This year, we spent three days at Wells Field Centre. Activities ranged from 3D sculpting with sand and materials found on the beach, walks in the pinewood forest, bird watching, treasure hunts, poetry though the senses and digging for sea life.
One of the best things about staying at the field centre (aside all the fun and educational activities) is that the staff encorouge independence. The children are expected to help set up the rooms for their meal, wash up, and keep their bedrooms tidy. The staff have to admit that they were very impressed with the children's hard work, and were pleased to see the increased independence in a number of the children. Let's just hope they have carried on the hard work now that they are home!
